This Sunday a new version of our iPhone app was released, and together with the new release we lowered the price even more, the iPhone app is now totally free!

Tuesday morning we noticed that the website was down so we called our hosting company to ask what was going on. They didn’t really know, but started working with the problems right away. 
After a while they found out that there was an error with a server and the domain ShapeUpClub.com had therefore stopped working.

The hosting company were able to solve this problem fast, BUT problems never seem to travel alone. When the first problem was solved we also noticed (and you aswell) that the site was crazy slow! 
It wasn’t even possible to load the diary page and the search-field in the iPhone app had also decided to stop working. Why?
The database behind ShapeUp Club had crashed and it took the whole day to get it back from the backup. But we did solve the problems, and now it is hopefully working properly. 

While working on fixing the database our hosting company noticed an error with the server which have made ShapeUp Club Online quite slow, now that this have been fixed the site should work a bit faster.

All these things took some time off our work with improving the website but now we can continue, and in some weeks you will see an improved diary and a faster way to add food!

There seems to be a temporary problem with the database, this also affects the search feature in the iPhone program and the sync feature.

Our hosting company is working with fixing this as soon as possible!

This will be just a short post. Just wanted to say that the new version of ShapeUp Club is available for download from App Store!

Also right now we are working on improving the website, we have made a total redesign of the Diary page that we are working with right now! We promise it will be both faster and easier to use!

This week we have finally started to do improvements on the website. We are currently focusing on is to make the site faster to load, and also faster in the meaning of user interface. We will for example make it much easier to add food to the diary.

Thanks to you and the survey we now know what parts of the site you think needs improvement and what we should do.

We will look over most parts of the website but for now focus on the core, the diary and the way you add food. Since we are going to make a lot of changes we will add a page online where you can follow our work and read news.

And as usual, if you have any ideas or questions don’t hesitate to contact us!

A user recently asked why you should pay for the online service of ShapeUp Club.
Yes, why should you pay? What else do you get online that is worth the money?
Here are a few reasons:
- a way to backup your data
- motivating charts to track your progress
- a community to discuss health topics with other users

These are the main reasons for the moment and we do have a lot more feature up our sleeves.
This website is very new, and we are regularly doing updates for both the online service and the iPhone app.

As said, we do already have a lot of ideas that we collected from users and ideas that we had from the very start of ShapeUp Club. And the reason why we haven’t fulfilled them yet is simply our lack of time!
We are for the moment three people working in Sillens AB (the company behind ShapeUp Club), whereas Martin is the one responsible for making all of the ideas for the website come to life.
But we are looking into ways to make the development work proceed faster!
