Hi Everyone!

Thanks for the kind words guys, its helped me back on track.  I was struggling to keep my weight under 80kgs, but after a week of being more strict with myself I am back down to 79.3kgs.  My BMI is now 30.2, which is still classed as obese, but I just need to stay focused enough over the next 2-3 weeks to get that number down to below 30 – COME ON!

Something else that helps me keep on track is the support from my gym.  Every few months my gym has a challenge to encourage people to exercise often to meet a goal.  One recent challenge was the triathlon to raise money for charity and improve fitness levels to meet the challenge.  The new challenge is ‘twelve days of Xmas’ which on completion you get a small prize.  Basically every-time you do a class over 30 minutes, you get the instructor to sign a sheet.  If you complete 12 classes before Xmas eve, you get the prize.  I love rewards for achieving a goal, so it works well as an incentive for me to do lots of regular exercise.  It also takes my mind off the scales and puts my mind more on just enjoying the exercise and doing to the classes over the next 2 1/2 weeks, by which time (*fingers crossed*) I will no longer be obese – Hurrah!

I’ve started a discussion in the forum on people’s techniques for keeping themselves on track – please share your experiences and ideas, it helps everyone.

Till next time :)
